Research
Dissertation Research
Principle Researcher, Mar 2017 — Dec 2021
Developed and conducted an interview-based study with a group of seven participants regarding the dancer’s lived experience of work-life transition out of performance. Data was collected using the qualitative methods of portraiture and body stories. Through this methodological combination, the research ultimately painted Embodied Narrative Portraits of the specific challenges faced by dancers when they make a complex work-life transition.

Participant in a collaborative process of co-creating a spoken-word- and-movement performance based on existing data from a study on the embodied experience of oppression. Focusing on analyzing data through movement, and using movement to convey a different (somatic) layer of information.
